I recall that someone in our party said they felt a presence in this archway leading onto the Pilgrim's Hall. Another said they felt quite playful when arriving at the archway. On approaching this archway I felt the need to photograph it. I made sure there were no approaching visitors and no one coming through the arch so I would have a clear shot with windows and dormer in the photo.
I took the photo and checked my screen to see if the shot had come out how I wanted and it had. As I stand here today I can honestly say that no one was in the archway and no one passed by me through the archway when I walked through. But clear as day you can see a dark skinned man in dark clothing walking toward me and on closer view below it shows he would have actually had to pass me on the path or be walking up the stairwell in the archway as I passed through it. There was no one there at the time of this shot being taken. No one in the courtyard beyond and no one on the stairwell beside me as I passed through the archway. In fact the whole area was devoid of visitors at this time, which is why I felt compelled to take the picture in the first place.
Make of it what you will but he seems quite at home in this jaunty pose and quite honestly was underdressed for such a bitterly cold Spring day!
