My Mandalas
Mandala ~ coloured and interpreted during Development Circle meeting ~ 1 April 2010
After opening prayer and short discussion re Mandalas, we proceeded to choose a pre-printed Mandala (a choice from approximately 30) and then chose 4 coloured pencils.
The Mandala I chose was immediately perceived as being "unique" by my Circle leader as most Mandalas are circular in shape and I chose mine, purposefully because it was not circular. Choosing colours that felt right for me to use, purple, green, yellow and orange, we proceeded to colour our Mandala over the course of an hour.
After that time each offered the Mandala to the person sitting diagonally across from them for an interpretation of colours, positioning of colours, no colour and immediate interpretation when looking at the Mandala.
This exercise in interpretation and what it meant to the artist was greeted with much enthusiasm as all participants gave an interpretation worthy of the artist.

Mandala ~ drawn during meditation
It has to be said that any meditation relieves one of the Earthly surroundings and transports you to a surreal place. Mandala manifestations are drawn whilst in a meditative state. Colours and amount of pencils are chosen beforehand, in this case only two colours were chosen. Soft music and deep breathing brings about a meditative state. An intention should be chosen beforehand and thought about during meditation. This meditation is, for obvious reasons, done with eyes open and the mandala materialises with the intention in mind.
My intention on drawing the above mandala was "where is my Spiritual Path leading?". I drew this manifestation mandala with eyes closed.
I believed my mandala to be of an Angels wing with an eye watching over me. This particular Angel is vividly similar to the Angel who appeared in my dreams (see Dreams section) and also a visual seen in a candle meditation with my Development Circle.
When I asked my Development Circle colleagues to interpret the mandala I was surprised that they believed the mandala should be turned upside down (see below). Which highlights more the uplifting of my Spiritual Path.
If you are reading this and think you might have an interpretation of my mandalas, please feel free to post on my blog or in the forum or send me a private message. I'd love to hear from you.
