POEMS
As a child I read poems. I wrote my own poems in abundance. I recall having a very large exercise book from school filled with poems about my life, events happening around me and what I aspired to for my future. On leaving home to make my own way in the world, the exercise book full of poems mysteriously disappeared. To this day I'm not sure whether it was lost, whether it was thrown out with the rubbish on leaving my parents home or whether it stayed hidden somewhere in the house.
Throughout my adult life I have not intentionally sat and read poems and have not written any of my own for years. I recently have had a strong sense of longing to put my thoughts into words through my poems. Realistically my "poems" can be either poetry or prose and have a rhythm of their own when read as a rhyming poem or literal prose.
I hope over time you will enjoy reading my poems (and other poets, from time to time) as much as I have had in writing and reading them.

GET ORGANISED!
This poem is not mine but written by
Douglas Malloch ~ American Poet & Syndicate Writer
"There May Be Nothing Wrong With You"
Malloch’s philosophy is the philosophy of contentment
There may be nothing wrong with you,
The way you live, the work you do,
But I can very plainly see,
Exactly what is wrong with me.
It isn’t that I’m indolent,
Or dodging duty by intent;
I work as hard as anyone,
And yet I get so little done.
The morning goes, the noon is here,
Before I know the night is near,
And all around me, I regret
Are things I haven’t finished yet.
If I could just get organised.
I often times have realised,
Not all that matters is the man.
The man must also have a plan
With you, there may be nothing wrong,
But here’s my trouble right along.
I do things that don’t amount,
To very much, of no account
They really seem important though,
Until I let the matters go.
I nibble this, I nibble that,
But I never finish what I’m at.
I work as hard as anyone,
And yet I get so little done.
I’d do so much you’d be surprised,
If I could just get organised!

Doing one thing of a multitude of what needs to be done, will increase the possibility of success.
If you don’t have a clearly defined plan of what you intend to accomplish today
stop whatever you are doing and write out a list of important projects.
Focus on your list one project at a time until it is completed.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG...
After winter's over and the last snow has gone
Spring pops its head above the ground
Flowers bloom with warmth from the sun
Bees are humming a lazy drone
While birds are chirping a winsome song
Trees are greening, grass is too
Daffodils in fields, a yellow hue
After all the chills and winter blues
We now have Spring with sunshine news
Let's give praise to God for he
Gave Spring to us, sunshine for free
Days getting longer as Easter appears
Chocolate eggs, bunny ears
People are smiling I wonder why
The sun is now shining
As summer is nigh
After winter's over and the last snow has gone
Spring pops its head above the ground
Flowers bloom with warmth from the sun
Bees are humming a lazy drone
While birds are chirping a winsome song
Trees are greening, grass is too

Spring Retreat
5th-7th March 2010
14 Beautiful Women...
14 Beautiful women
At beginning of Lent
On their Spring Retreat
Arrived at “The Friars” in Kent
They came with love of Spirit and Life
Leaving their families at home
To tend and strife
Their time together
Was blessed from the start
As each had a path chosen
Which came from their heart
In Pilgrims Hall they ate
Friars’ food
Breakfast, lunch and a supper
Hot tea, oh so good!
Then onto their meetings,
Or treatments with Dawn
Whose hands performed miracles
For which she was born
The beautiful Chapels and Rosary Way
Meant each could reflect, take walks or
Just pray
To the Spirit who loves them and lives in
their heart
Meditate so they’re able
to find one’s who depart
We met in a room owned by
Kilian Lynch
Shown two sides of his
character within just a flinch
One said we were welcome
Enjoy your time here
But this is my house
Show “respect” was made clear
A Circle of love was brought to a close
But a lesson was learned and questions
were posed
But none were discouraged as night turned
to day
Clear skies and bright sunshine
Was again on its way
Jean and Kay, Katy and Lou
Dawn, Diane and Nikki “2”
Lauren and Ally, Nikki “1” and Krista
Mother and Daughter
Blonde Sue and Nicola
That just leaves 'Lil 'ol Me
Now affectionately known
by all as Sue “D”!
All got what they went for
Who could ask for more
Oh yes I’d forgotten
Please SHUT THAT DOOR!
With love, light and Spirit to all of you. You made my life so special this past weekend. Always in my heart.

THERE'S A TIME IN LIFE...
There's a time in life for reflection
For honesty, for forgiveness
There's a time in life for education
For learning, for acceptance
There's a time in life for loving
For living, for dying
There's a time in life
For laughing, for crying
There's a time in life
Where a life's had its lifetime
Where Spirit is waiting
To take you Home
There's a time in life for reflection
For honesty, for forgiveness
There's a time in life for education
For learning, for acceptance
There's a time in life for loving
For living, for dying
There's a time in life
For laughing, for crying
There's a time in life
Where a life's had its lifetime
Where Spirit is waiting
To take you Home
MY CHOSEN PATH
On the horizon there rests a light
Dimming and darkening where day meets the night
In the black sky above stars twinkle and shine
As here on the earth peaceful sleep will be mine
A dream visits my slumber
An Angel so clear
It's time to remember
Family so dear
Tears shed as I sleep
Though no sorrow is meant
A message is given
From above it is sent
You have a purpose
to be on this Earth
Spirit has chosen you
From the day of your birth
You'll bring love, light and Spirit
to others in need
From the cup of this knowledge
They will drink and feed
If you remain joyous,
enjoy, love and laughter
Your life will be full
From this day to hereafter
I wake from my dreams
With love in my heart
I now know I have
Found my chosen path
