affected by the Icelandic volcano disaster
Dear Lord
We ask that each of us take a moment each day to think of those who are troubled by the Iceland volcano. Those who cannot make it home to loved ones, those who are distanced from any form of normality in this testing time and, more importantly the people of Iceland living closest to this catastrophe.
We also ask that Mother Earth looks kindly on her peoples and gives them the strength of mind and heart not to blame too harshly her actions. Keep their love of her in their hearts and remember to always look after her even when she feels the need to vent her fury upon them.
Lastly we ask that a source from the powers that be, send down an element that will kill this volcano and let it lie in peace for an eternity and allow Iceland’s people and, the world to get back on track, enabling them to brush themselves down and start afresh.
For this, we are humbled by you, Oh Lord.
Amen
